We are hiring: 2x data analysts. JET Education Services seeks to appoint 2 Data Analysts for the Anglo-American South Africa Education programme.
JOB DESCRIPTION
2x Data Analyst-Researcher's are required to undertake the following functions: data processing and management (e.g. collation, cleaning, vetting, data quality assurance and verification using correct protocols) and processing confidential data and information according to guidelines; deep data analysis using relevant software and determining the best way to represent data visually to managers and stakeholders; and assist in generating data reports (including tables and graphs) based on queries.
REQUIREMENTS
• Honours in statistics, econometrics, mathematics (with a strong statistical component)
• At least two years of experience in the relevant field
•Relevant prior learning may be considered
• Computer skills including competence in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), use of the internet and email
• Extensive knowledge of Stata or SPSS (2 years minimum experience)
• Understanding and knowledge to operate database systems
• Use data to write standard or customised reports from findings
• Must have a valid driver’s licence
• Must have a South African ID or a valid work permit

PREFERRED
• A masters-level qualification would be an advantage
• Experience in sampling and weighting will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of other statistical packages will be an added advantage (R-Programming)
