Terms of Reference
Zenex would like to commission a range of studies to better understand how CAPS is being implemented, what are the key challenges and opportunities of the CAPS and what can be done to improve the success of its implementation. This document outlines the call for proposals to undertake a range of studies to improve CAPS and/or its implementation.
Zenex is commissioning a range of studies to better understand and inform CAPS implementation. The studies should be limited to Foundation Phase mathematics and literacy. These studies could be exploratory or explanatory but with a view to making recommendations for improving CAPS curriculum and/or its implementation. The following are some areas for exploration.
This list is not exhaustive: CAPS Design features:
- The balance between breadth versus depth of content to maximise learning
- Appropriate scaffolding, coherence and progression of content/concepts and
- Gaps when transitioning between Foundation and Intermediate Phase, specifically in English(FAL)
