Position Summary

Oversee, coordinate and prepare external funder reporting requirements through to submission with escalation to line management on any possible risk for the business or best practices identified for implementation escalation. Oversee all internal and adhoc reporting requirements as required. Oversee DATIM process from start to completion to meet funder requirements.

In your role as MER/DATIM Team Lead you will:

  • Manages employee performance
  • Train and build capacity of subordinates
  • Monitor reporting trends and ensure timely issue/risk escalation to line manager
  • Ensures that all DATIM reporting requirements and deadlines are met including USAID Quarterly Donor narrative reports
  • Coordinates the monitoring of District operations team workplan programme performance against the chosen indicators, identified targets and provide workplan coverage levels with summary reports
  • Coordinate monthly DATIM indicator verification activities and implement process improvements, ensuring outliers being addressed and documented for audit purposes
  • Coordinate and facilitate DATIM DQA within supported districts
  • Coordinate and support the team with the synthesizing of the quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources into useable information
  • Collaborate with and support other departments when required to broaden personal scope and improve inter-departmental collaboration (JPPM, CCMDD)
  • Prepare and quality check all ad-hoc reports required by the funder or organisation
  • Maintain a repository of all electronic data verification efforts and report files for auditing purposes
  • Participate in supported district meetings to present monthly analysed workplan, cascade and report findings
  • Support the writing up of programmatic success stories and business close out reports

Qualifications and Experience Essential qualifications

  • MER or Healthcare Master’s degree Experience & skills
  • 4 years relevant experience in a MER capacity within public health sector
  • 2 years within a M&E supervisor capacity
  • 2 years DATIM/Donor system experience overseeing the process from start to submission
