Ms Desiree Jason
Ms Desiree Jason, has worked in government since 2004 on key interventions and is currently a Director responsible for Policy and Programme Evaluation at National Department Social Development. Her major responsibility is to institutionalise monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure effective and efficient achievement of the policies and programmes. She has a Master’s Degree and a Post graduate qualification in Evaluation studies from Stellenbosch University. She previously worked at the Presidency in the M&E capacity building unit and managed the Capacity building programme and at the National School of Government . She has managed a number of key evaluation studies in the Social sector which was placed in the National Evaluation Plan and has participated in the development of key interventions at a country level and work with international donors on priority M&E initiatives.
