Welcome to the 2010 Online Board Election Module.  Both the nomination and voting proccess will run through this interface.

KINDLY NOTE THAT THE VOTING DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO MIDNIGHT, 22nd AUGUST

We currently have two board vacancies and would like to encourage members to either nominate themselves or another member . Please familiarize yourself with the SAMEA Election Procedure.   Nominated candidates are requested to review the Nominee Guidance which provides additional information on election requirements, required paperwork and deadlines. 

Important 2010 Election Dates:

• 1 - 22 Jun:  Nomination Process (Refer to SAMEA Election Procedure)
• 26 Jun:  Deadline:  Required Nominee Documentation to Secretariat (refer to Nominee Guidance)
• 1 - 9 Jul:  Interactive Q&A Sessions with Nominees (Schedule TBA)
• 12 Jul - 18 Aug:  Formal Voting Process
• 23 Aug:  Announcement of Results at the SAMEA AGM

Kindly note that individuals who join SAMEA between the periods of 12 July and 18 August (voting period), or individuals who are not members in good standing,  will not be able to partake in the voting process.  Please contact info@samea.org.za to check on your membership status. All other queries, including assistance with the online election module or voting process, can be sent to secretariat@samea.org.za

Due to logistical problems the Q&A sessions were handled through the SAMEA listserv in stead of through the chat functionality. Some nominees were informed about this change at a late stage and have not yet responded. Abstracts of the Questions & Answers processed thus far are listed below:
