SENIOR LECTURER: ACADEMIC AND STRATEGIC PLANNING MANAGER
GRADE: AC07
The Faculty of Commerce, Law and Management invites applications for the post of Academic and Strategic Planning Manager, at the academic rank of Senior Lecturer.
The incumbent reports to and assists the Executive Dean with the academic and strategic planning of the admission of new students as well as providing planning and supportive statistical data for enrolled students. He/she will be responsible for the planning and administration of the Faculty Academic Planning Committee and assisting the different Schools with new academic developments. There would be substantial liaison with key players in the university in development of core courses and short courses.
Some core functions would include:
· Ensuring that the Faculty adheres to the national Higher education policies
· Leading and shaping the Faculty proposals and academic developments for strategic funding in line with the Wits 2022 goals
· Engaging in market research to position the Faculty and advising the Executive to new trends and market competition.
· Writing of correspondence pertaining to Faculty related processes and academic planning
· Researching, completing and writing of reports pertaining to academic developments in the Faculty
· Compiling of the Rules and Syllabuses booklet for the Faculty
