Invitation to Andy Rowe Seminar Series, February 2010

Pretoria, Jo’burg, East London, Stellenbosch

The South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association and the Public Service Commission as co-hosts of this evaluation Seminar Series, cordially invite you to attend seminars on programme evaluation by Andy Rowe in mid-February 2010.

Andy Rowe has thirty years experience as an economist and evaluation consultant in North America, Europe, South Asia, the Western Pacific and the Caribbean.  He now works primarily in the resource and environmental sector in the U.S., on urban environmental development assignments in India and community development and coastal conservation in the Western Pacific.

He has a PhD from the London School of Economics and is a former President of the Canadian Evaluation Society.

His current assignments include evaluations for the Packard Foundation Conservation and Science program, the US Environmental Protection Agency, the World Bank, US Department of the Interior, and for the UK Department of International Development.  Before moving to the U.S. Andy evaluated the consequences of unsustainable resource exploitation efforts such as closure of the Atlantic Groundfish Industry and cessation of a commercial Salmon fishery on Canada’s east coast.

Andy will be speaking about programme evaluation in 4 centres in the country should you be travelling at that time and are able to synchronise movements with seminars. His programme is as follows:
