In collaboration with the MEASURE Evaluation Project, the School of Health Systems and Public Health (SHSPH) at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, has developed an M&E concentration in their Master of Public Health degree program, designed to increase the number of monitoring and evaluation specialists in the Africa region. Instruction is in English. The program covers data collection, analysis and use, and evaluation of population and health information. After 12 months of courses taught in modules of one to three weeks, students will complete a six-month internship and individual research.

MEASURE Evaluation will fund a limited number of qualified candidates to undertake the programme. Applicants interested in this fellowship must be from the USAID-assisted developing countries in the Africa region and be involved in monitoring and/or evaluation of population, health and nutrition programs of governmental or non-governmental organizations. Applicants should express their intent to apply for this fellowship by submitting with their application a one-page letter detailing their background and experience in monitoring and evaluation and reasons for wishing to attend the program. The program description and application material are posted on the MEASURE website. For more information please contact
