We are currently conducting a large-scale thematic "Evaluation of European Commission support to health sector policy development ,and the fight against poverty related diseases" over the period 2002-2007. As part of this evaluation for the European Commission, we will send small teams of experts to a number of countries for 16 days field visits between May and July 2008. The next country for which we will be requiring national expertise is South Africa.

Experts should have experience in the following sectors:

• HIV and AIDS, TB and malaria
• EC policy in public health in South Africa
• EC evaluation experience
