Impact Consulting is a consultancy based in Cape Town that aims to assist social development organisations and projects to maximise the positive impact of their work. We do this by providing services such as monitoring and evaluation, impact assessments, strategic development, systems development and information management. Impact Consulting works with a number of different projects in South and Southern Africa. We have a young and dynamic team and the work environment is energetic, fast-paced and exciting.

The Institute for Security of Studies (ISS) is a pan-African applied policy research institute headquartered in Pretoria, South Africa with offices in Cape Town, South Africa, Nairobi, Kenya and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The ISS is an established think tank working in the area of African human security. The ISS seeks to commission an external consultant(s) to conduct a formative evaluation of its Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system.

John Snow Inc’s (JSI) & LIVESTRONG’s Cancer Anti -stigma Initiative seeks to reduce stigma associated with cancer through culturally-relevant and targeted messaging while raising awareness of the global cancer burden society. The goal of the project is to reduce cancer stigma through media (including new media), community outreach, special events and public relations. JSI is looking for a qualified South African candidate who can oversee and manage monitoring and evaluation activities.

The mission of 3ie is to increase development effectiveness through better use of evidence in developing countries. In fulfilment of this mission 3ie funds impact studies of high relevance to policy makers which have a large potential policy impact. This call for proposals invites government and non-governmental agencies in low and middle-income countries to submit proposed social and economic development interventions (projects, programmes, or policies) to be subject to quality impact evaluation. Teams to conduct the evaluation will be selected by 3ie, in cooperation with the implementing agency, through a process of international competitive bidding.

It is becoming quite clear that a big number of prospective entrepreneurs is in need of pre-startup and startup assistance from seda. But it is becoming very inefficient to deal with all of them on a one-to-one basis. It is also a fact that the needs of such groups are mostly generic and can be dealt with in a group, and thus making it more efficient. As soon as individual support is required, seda will support them on an individual basis.There are also a big number of existing small enterprises who would like to have the opportunity to mix with other entrepreneurs and find out what the latest trends in SMME development are.

GOPA Consultants, a German consulting firm (www.gopa.de), is currently preparing a tender for the EU-funded project „Capacity building for regional integration: Support to policy development, planning, M&E, statistics and international cooperation, SADC Secretariat” (see ToR attached).
